Moving puts your kids in a weird transitional napping schedule...I ended up with some quality snuggles!

Wade, so very proud of our STUFFED POD! (We also needed a Uhaul trailer, roof cargo box, roof cargo bag and stuffed our car....and left a TON of stuff for the curb.)

Holden loved cooking with great grandma

Landon with his true personality shining through....
Elon isn't the only cousin we got to see-these boys had a ton of fun times with cousins!

3111.5 miles later-we arrived!

The boys are loving Nana and Bawdy's beach and taking a lot of kayak rides with daddy!

Landon was far more excited than this expression is showing

Holden loving the ferry ride!

They loved the museum of flight...so much that we are now members.

One of the many perks to being home...morning coffee date with grandpa

Things, they are a changing.....

Well, my intention was to write at least once a month, and boy oh boy did I think about it a lot in January.....but, I didn't write. Most of the month I either had my iPad or my phone, and to be honest writing anything more than a sentence on either of those devices sounds like a precursor to my checking into an insane asylum. I wanted to list a few changes and post a few pictures (this is going to have to wait, it just takes too long on here) just to keep up to date, a little.
The holidays were great-watching two toddlers learn about Santa and being reminded how much magic is in the Christmas season from their eyes in pretty amazing and exciting. After the holidays we got to tell everyone that we were moving back to Washington and that Wade was on the job search for the first time in quite a while. We had a quick, much quicker than anticipated, leave of Rochester and are already missing the family we created there. We had an amazing trip to Grand Cayman with the whole Handsaker clan. AND THEN....we drove across the country with our kids, dog and cat while pulling a trailer in the dead of a midwest Winter (that adventure is a whole different and long story).  The simple part of it is that we made it to Washington safely, with little damage to the car, only a year or so off our lives and the kids are AMAZING travelers-seriously amazing.

Now we are starting a new adventure and enjoying everyday with our two wild and extremely sweet boys.

A fresh start (with blogging that is)

I can't believe that we have had this blog for years and I am just now sitting down to actually write…apparently life with my boys keeps me far too busy and preoccupied to string a few sentences together (and not have the English teacher in me come out and fix everything-I just don't have time for that these days). Let's call it my New Years resolution, for 2014 that is (yep…I am making it early), to keep this blog more up to date, so those of you that want to know about our adventures in NY and our adventures with these crazy boys, can keep up to date.
We seriously can't believe that we have not lived in Washington for 15 months already, but we love everything we have done and seen because of living in New York. We have had a year full of adventures-right after we moved our boys turned 1, we have had long weekend visits to NYC, Boston and various camping trips to State parks and other various (and random) areas. After the boys birthday in September (more to come on that), we drove down to South Carolina for a few days on the beach and then stopped in Virginia Beach for a few more days on the drive home-needless to say that we ALL loved every second of those beach days. It was even worth the 3 hours we spent in traffic between Maryland and Washington DC, which was terrible. The boys were amazing on the long car ride, which gives us hope for making it to South Dakota next Summer!

Needless to say the boys have changed a tremendous amount in the past year-they are now two-running, jumping, opinionated, boys through and through. They love anything related to trucks, tractors, trains, mud or animals. They eat anything and everything, which makes my life easy (ha, just in regards to food). Holden loves meat and asks for it constantly, Landon is a little more normal two year old and loves cheese, yogurt and shakes (which he asks for while shaking his entire body saying "shake, shake, shake"). I wish that I could explain how much fun it is to watch them learn and play together. They love each other, their pets, Curious George and pretty much anything that is exciting.

I will take some time to sit down and tell you a little about each boy sometime soon, but right now I need to get them to sleep.
